Recently, I decided to purchase coilovers so I could adjust my ride
height and raise the car a little (the novelty of having absolutely no
wheel gap wore off as soon as i almost ripped the dp off, going
over a speed-bump). after researching DSMtalk and
DsmReview.com, i decided to go with the skunk2 setup for my 2g
AWD. i have non-adjustable Tokico shocks and i wanted to
continue to use these. the hardest part of the install was having to
cut the spring perches off without cutting the actual shock (thanks
boostedsolutions). The biggest difference that I have noticed is
the stiffness of the springs compared to my old setup (Tokico
springs and shocks combo from Machv). You do feel every bump
on the road, but it's a small price to pay, for the adjustability. I was
also pleased with the performance of the non-adjustable shocks
(after reading tons of posts advising on using adjustable shocks). i
recommend this product for those that need the height adjustably
without the bells and whistles of a true coilover setup.

Part: Hawker Odyssey Battery PC545
Cost: $85.00
Vendor: Battery Mart

I was looking for any way possible to lighten up my car some more than it already was, I heard about small lightweight batteries, but could not find
anyone local with one, to give me good reviews. After searching the web and comparing specs and prices, I came up with the Hawker Odyssey PC545. It weighs in at 12lbs, measures
only 6 7/8 x 3 1/4 x 5 1/8, and puts out 230 CCA. I was worried that the size would affect the performance of the battery, but that was not the case
at all. The car started right up with the same amount of cranks as my huge 40lb Optima battery. With all the accessories on, it still maintained 13.9 volts. Even after the car sat for a few days,
it still started up just fine. I would not recommend this battery to anyone with a big stereo system, as it will not handle the load, or if you drive the car in the winter, the cold will take it's toll on the small battery,
but if your car is more of a race car and not driven everyday, then this is the
battery for you.
